Gábor Kovács set three goals for KOGART when it was founded in 2004: the promotion of Hungarian art, especially contemporary fine art at home and abroad, the support of the youngest generation of artists through exhibitions, scholarships, and the purchase of works of art, and the creation of a foundation collection that represents the historical needs of the last 50 years of Hungarian fine art.
